Georgia is the owner and operator of The Dog Barn, where she combines her lifelong love of animals with years of hands-on experience in pet care. A devoted stay-at-home mom to her two daughters, Adelyn and Millie, Georgia brings the same warmth and dedication to her clients that she brings to her family.
Her passion for animals began early—as a child, she was an avid equestrian, often found competing in local horse shows or spending time at the barn. That love for animals evolved into a career in veterinary care. Before founding The Dog Barn, Georgia worked as a veterinary assistant at VCA Animal Hospital and in spay and neuter clinics throughout North Carolina, helping animals in need receive essential care.
In 2023, she launched her grooming salon and began offering mobile nail trims, quickly earning the trust and loyalty of local pet owners. Today, Georgia continues to grow The Dog Barn into a welcoming space where dogs receive personalized care, and their owners feel confident and supported.
In her free time, Georgia spends time with her family, working with her horses, and going to the beach.

Myrissa matthews
Groomer
Born and raised in Harnett County, Myrissa has always had a deep love for animals and a creative spirit. From an early age, she found joy in caring for pets and exploring various artistic outlets—a combination that naturally led her to a fulfilling career in dog grooming.
With four years of experience as a dog bather and nearly a year honing her skills as a groomer, Myrissa has developed a reputation for her gentle touch, attention to detail, and commitment to each dog’s comfort. She believes every pup deserves to look and feel their best and takes pride in offering personalized care tailored to each pet’s unique needs. Her goal is to make every grooming session a positive experience for both the dogs and their owners.
Outside of work, Myrissa enjoys spending time with her husband Blake, their sweet son Conway, and their three beloved fur babies. She loves being outdoors in the summer—especially on a boat at the lake—and cozying up in pajamas during the winter months.
Whether it’s a simple trim or a full grooming transformation, Myrissa is dedicated to providing exceptional service with a smile.

Rebecca has recently partnered with The Dog Barn to offer expert training, exercise, and enrichment services to its guests. A dedicated dog trainer with years of experience, Rebecca brings her passion and skill to every pup she works with. She shares her life with her own pack of seven dogs—Paisley, Asher, Rio, Sven, MJ, Captain, and Bucky—who keep her on her toes and inspire her work daily.
Before joining The Dog Barn, Rebecca spent several years training dogs in Cary, specializing in puppy classes, basic obedience, and agility courses. She has also collaborated with rescues across North Carolina, fostering and preparing dogs for their forever homes by helping them become confident, well-rounded companions.
Rebecca believes training isn't just about teaching commands—it's about building a strong, respectful relationship between dog and owner. She’s passionate about educating pet parents on setting healthy boundaries, reading canine body language, and understanding that a well-trained dog is a happier, more connected member of the family.
